First day of summer

Isn't there a song that goes, "Summer time, and the living is easy"? Whoever wrote that song was not the mother of three busy kids. Our first day of summer started dark and early :) We were invited to a live shot for Channel 2 for a princess festival that was coming up. We got up at 4:30 to get dressed and do hair. When I woke Ava up, she was really confused that it was still dark outside. The festival was fun though and they had a blast. Some wealthy person has built a castle and the seven dwarves cottage with a playground and an art museum and stage/dancing area. It was amazing and the girls had a blast! They got to talk Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and the ugly step-sisters. (The Channel 2 news guy was pretty obnoxious though) They also got a kick out of seeing themselves on tv. In the end, it was worth getting up at 4:30.

After the festival, Sayer had swimming at 10 and Ava had dance at 10. Then Cy had swimming at 11:30 and Ava had her swimming lesson at 11:35. We came home and had lunch and I was exhausted. I tried to lay down for a few minutes and just laid there thinking of everything I needed to do so I just got up and did it. I wish I could say that things have slowed down since then but they haven't. Every day I feel like I need to be 5 places at the same time. I feel like I am super busy all day long and have nothing to show for it at the end of the day. Oh well, such is the life of a mom and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
