The kids had the greatest Memorial Day. They were able to play with cousins at Larsen's Lodge and eat hot dogs and s'mores and play air soft guns. What more could a kid ask for? Cy especially had a great day. He never has been a great sleeper and I think it's because he doesn't want to miss a single thing - he gets too excited about life and all he wants to do.
We got home late that night and they were all exhausted. We sent everyone to bed and then Cy reappeared about a half an hour later... sobbing. We asked him what was wrong and he said, "My life if ruined!!" "Why?!?", we asked. He said (as he's crying), "I'm afraid I won't be able to build robots and help people in the future! I'm afraid my imagination is no good any more because my childhood is going so fast!" Oh, poor little Cy. He just loves life and he already thinks it's going too fast. We reassured him that school JUST got out and he will have PLENTY of time to enjoy his childhood and that his imagination will be OK. We sent him back to bed and had a little laugh. We love that kid!
