Till we meet again.

I don't know why I have been putting off writing this post.  I think it's for the same reason I was looking forward to the funeral but I also didn't want it to be over.  I felt like once it was over that life would have to go on when I knew my life would never be the same again.  The viewing and funeral were beautiful.  I was amazed at how many people were at the viewing.  They had to create a Disneyland style line in the cultural hall for everyone waiting and there were still people there at 10:30 that night.  The same with the funeral, so many people there that love Wendy.  I remember thinking as I was looking at the ocean of people there that Wendy's work on the other side must be extremely important, because look at all the lives she is touching here.  All the siblings spoke and I remember someone asking if I was nervous.  I wasn't nervous even one tiny bit.  I couldn't wait to get up there and tell everyone how wonderful Wendy is and how much I love her.  The only problem I had was trying to sum up how wonderful she is in the short amount of time I had.  It was a beautiful funeral.  The weather was beautiful as well and it was a very sweet grave dedication.  After the funeral I took the nap of all naps.  I was so physically and emotionally exhausted.  Later that night we went to my parents home where everyone was gathered and I don't think I'll ever forget playing with Evan on the back porch.  I'll let the pictures do the talking:

The pictures are in no particular order and I don't even know who to give credit to for taking them.  I know some are from Brooke Mack, some from Heather and some from Heather's mom, so thanks for the beautiful images.

Till we meet again, sweet sister.  I love you so much Wendy and  I can't wait to see you again.  Thank you for your amazing example.  It's my prayer that I can remember every day the way you lived your life and to try to be more like you.  I miss you so terribly, I think I would do just about anything for one more Wendy hug.  I don't know if it's gotten any easier over the last 5 months or if I've just gotten used to living with the pain that your absence brings.  Either way, I'll keep going and endure to the end, that's just one of the many things your incredible example has taught me.  I love you forever!

Such a sweet post! I love reading your blog. Thank you. Does Brooke have a website we can see all the pictures she took of the funeral? I haven't seen any of them.
