Orleans

Over the next three days, we stayed in Orleans while Sean worked, which is a really cool city in and of itself.  We did a little shopping and laundry, explored some old churches and I found a great antique shop.  Sean worked with a guy named Sebastian and his wife, Marie, was an English teacher at a school about a half an hour outside of Orleans.  She picked Hayes and I up one day and we went shopping, met the husbands for lunch at the Buffalo Grille, and then went back to her house where she cooked us dinner.  She had a little girl a little older than Hayes named Julie and two other boys named Nathan and Lillian.

This was the city center and had a really neat merry go round.  Orleans is the birth place of Joan of Arc so there's a huge statue of her in the city center as well.

 Hayes and Julie
Marie had the coolest armoire in her house that she said was her grandma's.  It was amazing!  She also had another one in her garage she showed me that was her great grandma's.  It had a mirror on it that was amazing as well.  I'm such a sucker for old things, and when they're French old things... even better!

As soon as Sean was done with work on Friday, we headed off to Paris for one last weekend.
