The Silver Bullet

Cy had his very first Pinewood Derby in September and he did pretty good! Grandpa Paul cut out the shape and Cy and Sean painted it and Cy decorated it. My dad supplied the scale and graphite and gave Sean some tips on putting the wheels on. Cy won a few of his heats but didn't get into the final four. He was happy though and had a great time. I was just glad that no little Cub Scouts ran out of the gym crying. In the opening prayer, the little scout giving it said, "And please bless that no one will be sad." With four little brothers, I have been to my fair share of Pinewood Derby's and have seen many crying scouts, but this year... no tears! It was a success! (FYI, Sayer was the photog at this event, hence the self portrait. Trust me, there were many pictures that got left on the cutting room floor!)

Cy, hurry and get your wolf before your birthday... the clock is a ticking, I fear for your scouting future
