I found this shirt on-line and this is how we told our families. It was so fun. With IVF, you can't surprise anyone. Everyone knows you are doing it, and it's a good thing, because you need all the prayers you can get. Even before they implanted the embryos, I was getting daily calls, "How many eggs did they get?" "How many fertilized?" "What grades are they?" "What are your HCG levels?", etc. So this time, it was fun to have a little family secret and then be able to share it with our big families. So when I was 10 weeks, I had my mom plan a Sunday taco night at her house and when everyone was there we put the shirt on Ava and had her make a grand entrance. There were plenty of screams, hugs, and tears. Mare gave me a hug and said, "Your little brother is crying." I looked over and David Vern was leaning against the wall with tears in his eyes... Grandpa Vern style. Laura and Brian weren't there so we called and left both of them messages about Ava's shirt. They both called back later on that night and we were able to fill them in. They both thought that we were possibly adopting a baby... I think it's just so shocking that we're actually having one of our own. I think it's just the last thing people expect.
Then the very next night, it was Kevin's surprise birthday party so I knew most everyone from Sean's family would be there. Ava wore her shirt again and it was so fun to see everyone's reactions. Again, I think it was complete shock for most. Tim and Lindsey weren't there so I talked to Lindsey the next day. After we told our families, I told the kids to feel free to tell anyone they wanted to. So, of course, Sayer told her entire class the next day. Now, three weeks later, more and more ward members are finding out and I think it's just a matter of time before my body starts making the announcement for me!

First off...congratulations again! I'm so happy for you. Second, I love Ava's shirt! When I was pregnant with my 3rd, I made shirts for my older two that said "Big Brother 2000" to make my announcement. The shirts did the job, but they weren't as cute as the one you found for Ava.
Hey Congrats!! The fourth has been such a treat for us. Enjoy this baby and everything it does!!
When did Ava get that big? She was just a baby in your lap every time we came Visiting Teaching!
