Priceless!

In my opinion, even though each phase of a child's life is so wonderful, there is something magical about a three and four year old's outlook on life. They are constantly saying the funniest things, their speech is far from perfect but way too adorable to correct, and it is so fun to see the world from their eyes and get a glimpse into their minds and the way they think.
A few examples:

Sean had all of last week off so on one perfect day, we decided to ride our bikes up a canyon trail that passes a waterfall and ends at a park to have a picnic. These are the days I live for, they don't get any better as far as I'm concerned. So I was a little surprised at Ava's response when Sean asked her, "Isn't this great? Don't you love doing things like this with mom?" Ava's response, "Pretty much, no." So I said, "Ok Ava, I'll just get a babysitter for you the next time I go on a bike ride and you can sit home with her all day and watch shows." To which she replied, "Thanks, mom." Later on though, she did ask me if I would be her babysitter :)

She was chasing Cy throughout the house one day and she yelled out to him, "You're going to be dead for the rest of your life, mister!"

For the "sp" sound, she uses the "st" sound. So her spoons are "stoons", spiders are "stiders", some things are really "stecial" to her, glittery things really "starkle", and my favorite, some things are really "stooky"!

The "sm" sound is replaced by the "sn" sound so some things really "snell" bad to her.

Silly puddy is "Gillicuddy", Pinky swear is "Pinky square" and cottage cheese is "Pawn cheese".

I think "starkle" is my favorite--and I love the happy dance. Laityn did something similar on the first day of Kindergarten. Love the pictures!
