Turning 10

The twins turned 10 on November 2nd. Wow! Where has 10 years gone? Cy was still struggling with swine flu so he didn't go to school - he was pretty bummed about that. On Halloween, Ava started feeling a lot better - I still didn't let her go trick-or-treating, but I thought she was on the mend. Then the day after Halloween, she fell asleep while she was eating lunch. She went to bed and slept the rest of the day and all through the night.
Her fever came back and I knew that if they were sick, started feeling better, and then got sick again, it was trouble. Sean took her to the doctor and they sent them straight to the hospital for chest x-rays. She had double pneumonia - so antibiotics for Ava. Hayes and I took Sayer to get her ears pierced. She had waited so long for this day and she was so excited. I said she could do it when she was 8, Sean said 12, so we met in the middle. She did great! She was so brave and looked so cute and grown-up. The twins wanted JCW for dinner and then we had cake. Notice how they each blew out a candle on their own separate pieces - we didn't need any more germs flying around! How I love my twinners! They are so dear to me! On a side note, Hayes woke up the very next morning with a fever. I didn't mess around - that boy was on Tamiflu within the hour after I took his temp. He never got as bad as Cy and Ava and it's now a relief that he's had swine flu - one less thing to worry about! We'll hope for a healthier 11th b-day :)
